The TAC2 “SHOTTY” is an AOW (Any Other Weapon) and can be transferred with a $5 tax stamp. It is built on the Mossberg 500 and holds 2+1, or 3+1 shells (depending on barrel length). We offer the "SHOTTY" in 6.5" barrel (2+1 shells), or 8.5" barrel (3+1 shells). Overall length for the 6" barrel is 17.5", and 19.5” for the 8.5" barrel version. We can also build yours with a custom length barrel of your choice.  We also offer it built on the Remington 870, contact us for current pricing.

Ours is a much better design than Serbu, or KEG-12, Falling Skies, or any other brand, as the barrel is held in place with our own, wire EDM cut, 1 piece Figure 8 barrel lug, which fully captures the barrel, not just welded or soldered in place as with other designs, which can break, allowing the barrel to literally “shoot” off the end of the gun. A very dangerous situation. 

Our design makes it impossible for the barrel to come off without deliberately removing the retention bolt. The pump mechanism has an attached Picatinny rail, allowing the user to switch and choose the style/type of vertical fore-grip they want. It comes to you with a Mission First Tactical - React series, folding fore-grip, that’s fatter, and much more comfortable than the grip on our competitor’s products.

Our design also comes with a Barrel Heat Shield standard.

The TAC2 “SHOTTY” shown, is my personal gun, (yours will be custom built when ordered).  The one shown has a Tri-Rail Light/Laser mount and Insight Technologies M6 Light/Laser, and a Side-Saddle Shell Holder installed. These are ACCESSORIES and can be order elsewhere on this site. 

With a 7.5" or longer barrel, you have the option of adding the Tri-Rail Light/Laser mount and Insight Technologies M6 Light/Laser. These are OPTIONAL items. If purchased from us, we will install and ship with your "SHOTTY", at no additional shipping or installation charges. The Side Saddle Shell Holder can be added to any “SHOTTY”.

ADDITIONAL OPTIONS ARE:

BARREL THREADING: This will allow you to install a “Stand-Off” device for door breaching, or choke tubes for optimum shot pattern. Threading for standard Remington style choke tubes is $75 additional (choke tubes NOT included).

FORCING CONE REAMING: The Forcing Cone is the angle inside the barrel, just forward of the chamber, where the diameter transitions from that of the chamber, to that of the bore.  The factory angle is usually quite abrupt, causing deformation of the outer pellets of the shot column, which can adversely affect the shot pattern, and cause errant pellet “flyers”.  Additionally, the factory forcing cone causes unwanted “felt recoil”.  Reaming the Forcing Cone extends the angle of the cone, thereby giving a more gradual change in the diameter from chamber to bore. This improves both shot pattern, and reduces “felt recoil”. Forcing Cone Reaming is $75.
