WHERE: Tactical Advantage Concepts 2000 (TAC2)

WHEN: First Saturday of every month.

TIME: Registration begins at 9:00, shooters meeting at 9:45. Shooting begins at 10:00.

WHAT TYPE OF GUNS?

• Anything and everything, from Grandpa's revolver, to 100% custom built, dot-sighted, racing machines. Any calibre from 9mm/38 Special and up.
• Six Divisions will be recognized. They include: REVOLVER; Intended for stock revolvers. Shooter may fire only six rds. between reloads. PRODUCTION; Strictly limited to pistols with double or safe action triggers. Shooter may load only ten rds. in their magazines. Seven and eight shot revolvers may be used in this Division. SINGLE STACK; Single action pistols with single column magazines. LIMITED 10; Single action pistols rule. Shooter may load up to 10 rds. in their magazines. LIMITED; Most competitors use wide-body 1911's, but the magazine may be no more than 140mm long (170mm for single-stack guns). OPEN; Most competitors use wide-body 1911's with red-dot sights and compensators. Magazines may be 170mm long.

WHAT TYPE OF HOLSTERS, ETC.?

• No shoulder holsters, "tie-down" rigs, holsters with the heel of the butt of the handgun below the top of the belt, or holsters with the muzzle of the handgun pointing more than 1 meter from the shooter's feet, while standing. Holsters, magazines, and loading devies must comply with the provisions of the relevant Division. Active law enforcement or military personnel may be permitted to use their duty equipment.

HOW MANY ROUNDS WILL BE FIRED?

• Most matches will have 4 to 7 stages and require no more than 200 rds. No stage will require more than 36 rds. to complete. Be sure to bring enough ammo and carriers!

SCORING:

• USPSA shooting revolves around a points per second concept called a "hit factor". "Major" power factor generates more points per hit than "minor" power factor. Each shooter will have a "hit factor" for each stage. Points per stage are awarded based on how each "hit factor" compares to the highest "hit factor" and are called "match points". "Match points" from each stage are added, and the shooter with the most "match points" wins!
