PERSONAL PROTECTION HANDGUN - LEVEL II

This is a 1-day, competency based class, that continues from where our PPH-I class ends. We spend very little, if any, time in the classroom. Class starts with a range skills test to determine each student\'s ability, then a review of the PPH-I shooting drills, expanding and adding to each technique. We move through basic drills very quickly to warm everyone up, add more position shooting, and begin techniques for engaging multiple targets, Tactical Priority vs Tactical Sequence principles, shooting from cover and engaging moving targets, and shooting on the move vs shooting while moving. We will work on proper methods for clearing doorways, corners and multiple openings and proceed through basic building clearing techniques. Basic disarming techniques will also be covered. During this phase, we also learn techniques for shooting from and around a vehicle. If time and student abilities permit, we will move into some force on force training with Simunitions, etc. Equipment and ammo requirements: Safe, serviceable handgun of caliber suitable for personal protection (9mm/.38 Spl. or larger), quality holster and mag./speedloader pouches, 500 rds. of ammo., eye and ear protection, clothing suitable for any weather. Prerequisite: TAC2 PPH-I or approved equivalent training, OR pass the TAC2 BASIC HANDGUN SKILLS TEST which can be viewed by clicking this link:  SEE TEST . (students who have been approved based on a non-TAC2 class, OR have passed the TAC2 BASIC HANDGUN SKILLS TEST, must still view PPH-I video and pass written exam, prior to class date). Hours: 8 a.m. till 6 p.m. The cost for this class is $100. Cost to take the TAC2 BASIC HANDGUN SKILLS TEST IS $50. Click here to sign up online, \"ONLINE COURSE APPLICATIONS\"
